Blake Doss

 

Blake Doss holds a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance (2007) from Westminster Choir College (Princeton, New Jersey) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Political Science (2005) from Luther College (Decorah, IA).  During his two years of graduate school, Blake studied organ with Ken Cowan and harpsichord with Kathleen Scheide.  As a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, Blake sang in Handel’s Messiah at the Riverside Church in New York City with the New York Philharmonic, under the direction of British conductor Richard Hickox. 

 

Blake’s previous organ teachers include William Kuhlman, James Higdon, Miriam Duncan, George Damp, and Marillyn Freeman.  He is a current member of the White Heron Chorale and substitute organist in the area.
